SPSU is a polytechnic university.  The word polytechnic derives from the Greek word poly, meaning many, and the word techne, meaning applied skills.  That's what academics at SPSU are all about--many degree programs, all focused on both theoretical understanding and applied skills.  We offer degrees in the liberal arts, sciences, education, computing, business, engineering technology, engineering, and architecture, and each of our programs is technologically focused.
