COMM 2065 Cross-Cultural Communication
Prerequisite: ENGL 1102
Intercultural Communication is an interdisciplinary course that explores significant social and psychological issues that grow out of interactions among people representing different cultures. It will examine these issues through comparison, integration, and synthesis of several of the social sciences, but primarily from a communication perspective. This course is designed to introduce students to issues involved with communication across different cultures. Communication is the focal point, so we will consider all aspects of communication in this course - both verbal and nonverbal. In addition, this course is designed to: increase each student's understanding of the global village in which she/he will travel, study, work and play.
