Coming to a college requires a great deal of adjustment for most students. Students struggle with “fitting in” and finding new friends that will match up to their high school friends. At Southern Polytechnic State University, sororities create an immediate caring family on campus. Our Greek community offers support, friendship, shared values and understanding. The friends you make will probably become your best friend, the members of their wedding party, and your children’s godparents. The bonds of sisterhood that a chapter creates are immensely strong and are a type of friendship that most members find hard to even explain. Besides all these wonderful opportunities being Greek offers its members expansive opportunities through holding officer positions in the chapter, becoming a leader on campus, and networking. Through this, members are able to gain valuable professional and life skills like delegation, time management, conflict resolution, and event planning. Becoming Greek at SPSU will not only make your college experience more enjoyable but also create many unforgettable experiences you can carry with you for the rest of your life.
