Staff Council Minutes

Minutes Approved

George Scott called the meeting to order at 9:30 AM. The agenda for today’s meeting was adopted. The minutes of the August 24, 2001 meeting were read and approved.

I. Old Business

Outstanding Staff Awards

The draft survey was presented. Each Staff Council member will be asked to present the finalized survey to their constituents in person. Chair, George Scott will work with Mary Ellen McGee to get the most up-to-date list of employees. George will follow-up with Staff Council members via email as to constituent assignments and distribution of the survey.

Assignment of Constituents

Mary Ellen McGee was not present with the new list. George Scott will follow up with the Staff Council via email as to assignments.

Employee Benefits

Guest Paul Meeks came to discuss the inconsistencies in the publications provided by the Board of Regents as to the coverage in the PPO plan and asked that this be addressed at the Statewide Staff Council Conference in October. George Scott will talk to Alberta Cook (Chair, USGASC) about the issue and adding formally or informally to the agenda.

III. Next Meeting

The next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, October 16, 2001 at 9:30 a.m. All staff members are welcome and encouraged to attend the meetings. If there are items you would like placed on the agenda, forward these to George Scott at least one week before the next meeting. The meeting adjourned.
