Southern Poly to Host Menlo College in the Opening Round of the NAIA National Championships

Saturday's contest will be one of 15 Opening Round matches being played at different on-campus sites around the country on Nov. 19. The winners of the National Championship Opening Round games will advance to the National Championship final site in Orange Beach, Ala. Nov. 28-Dec. 3rd.

Southern Poly comes into the match as the 2011 SSAC Conference Tournament Champions and ranked #6 in the country. They finished the season with a 15-2-2 record and 9-2-1 record in the SSAC.

Southern Poly is lead by Senior Jumol Harewood who has 14 goals and 3 assists, Senior Sean Grisham who has 8 goals and 6 assists and Junior Emeka Maduka who has 12 goals and 4 assists.

Menlo College, the CalPac Tournament Champions finished the year with a 13-3-1 record and a 10-0 CalPac record.

Menlo College is lead by Senior Mattheus Barbosa who has 10 goals and 1 assist, Senior Sam Zipperstein who has 1 goal and 11 assists, and Cal Pac Player of the Year Alex Palomarez.
