STS Waiting List Procedure

Enrollment in STS sections fluctuates during registration, and you are encouraged to check for openings periodically during the registration period.

Dr. Newell, the STS Coordinator, will create waiting lists for all current-term STS 2400 sections beginning at 9:00 am on the last day before classes start for the term. You may submit your request to Dr. Newell by visiting her in J-305B, by calling her at 678-915-7481,or sending her e-mail at jnewell@spsu.edu , but you may not request placement on a waiting list before 9:00 on the specified day. Early requests will not be processed.

Should you wish to be placed on a waiting list, you will need to provide Dr. Newell with the following information:

• name
• student number
• e-mail address
• telephone number
• first AND second choice of section.
  
• are you a senior graduating May 2009 or earlier? (These students will be given priority for available openings.)
  

As of 4:00 on the waitlist day, all available slots will be filled from the waiting list. For the remainder of drop/add any slots that become available will be filled from the wait list. Graduating seniors will still be given priority, but the availability of openings cannot be guaranteed.

For Fall 2008 term, the waitlist procedure will begin at 9:00 am on Friday, August 15.
