Associate of Science Degree, General Studies
The Associate of Science Degree in General Studies is a two year program that completes the University System of Georgia general education requirements and prepares you for any major in the University System, including engineering, pre-law, pre-medicine, business or a variety of other fields.
To receive the Associate's Degree you must complete areas A through E of the core curriculum plus 18 additional hours of 1000-2000 level courses as listed below for a total of 60 hours.
Additional 18 hours must consist of:
Any 1000-2000 level course (literature, arts, or language), Humanities (3 hours)
Any 1000-2000 level course (history, political science, behavioral science, cultures and societies), Social Sciences (3 hours)
up to two additional 1000-2000 level Humanities courses (0 - 6 hours)
up to two additional 1000-2000 level Social Sciences courses (0 - 6 hours)
up to two additional 1000-2000 level Math or Science courses (0 - 8 hours)
up to three approved courses from areas C - F (0 - 9 hours)
