Hornets finish up the 2009 Pre-season with a 1-1 draw in an exhibition match vs Anderson University.  The Hornets got on the scoreboard in the 37th minute to go up 1-0 against the visiting Trojans.  The Hornets lone goal came on a counter attack down the right side.  Junior, Midfielder, Jeff Paffenback found a wide open Sean Grisham (Sophomore Midfielder), who headed it in the side of the net.

The second half began with a very lethargic Hornet side who let in an early goal.  The equalizer came from a corner kick and found the head of a streaking Trojan who drilled the ball passed Freshman GK, Nick Campbell.

The rest of the match saw a back and forth battle where both teams created good opportunities but could not finish.

"We were pleased with some of the performances from tonight.   We have a lot of work to do before the first match and I feel that this scrimmage gave us a good idea of what we need to do to improve," said Head Coach Kom Momeni.

The Hornets open up the 2009 Season, on the road, against TN Wesleyan on Saturday August 29 at 5pm.
