Five Hornets get named to the 2009 Southern States Athletic Conference All- Academic Team.  Making up more than 1/3 of the entire SSAC All-Academic Team, no other university placed more student-athletes on the prestigious list than did Coach Momeni's side.  "I am so proud of these guys for maintaining such a strong GPA at such a fine school.  They are excelling in the classroom and on the field".

To date, the soccer team is 11-0-1, ranked #7 in the NAIA National Polls, and are 2009 SSAC Regular Season Champions.  They are on a 17 game regular season unbeaten streak (dating back to last year), and have only allowed one goal against an SSAC opponent all season.

Hornets to be named on the SSAC All-Academic Team are:

Scott Anderson, Sean Grisham, Brendon McGonigle, Jeff Paffenback, and Matt Wood
