The 2009 Recruiting Class for the Southern Polytechnic State University Men's Soccer Team has been announced.  To date, Head Coach Kom Momeni has signed nine players to the Fall 2009 Roster.  With a mixture of local and international players this class will help solve some of the problems caused by the departure of the six players that will not return to the Hornets next Fall.

"This is a smaller recruiting class for us, but it fits our needs.  We have brought in some older mature players along with some athletic standouts that can lay multiple positions.  This class will compliment the strong one that came in last year and will help us towards a run at the Conference Title," said Coach Momeni.

Khristopher Hammock- Savannah, GA

Abdifatah Hassan- Mogadishu, Somalia

Matthew Lane- Marietta, GA

Marcos Mendez Peralta Ramos- Argentina

John Tabares Jr.- Lawrenceville, GA

Benjamin Steinwachs- Columbus, GA

Trevor Whelan- Bonaire, GA
