The SPSU Lady Hornets have teamed up with the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) for the 2008 WBCA's "Think Pink" initiative. The WBCA's "Think Pink" initiative is a global, unified effort for the WBCA's nation of coaches to assist in raising breast cancer awareness on the court, across campuses, in communities and beyond. The week set aside for this year's initiative is February 8 – 17.

We have made February 9, 2008 our official “Think Pink” day. SPSU Lady Hornets vs. Shorter Lady Hawks, February 9, 2008 @ 2pm in the Gymnasium

Schools have chosen to participate in a variety of different ways. Some ideas for involvement include ordering pink uniforms, inviting breast cancer survivors to the game, wearing pink shooting shirts, head bands, socks/shoe strings, etc.  All fans are asked to wear pink and will get in free to the game with a $2 donation to the Breast Cancer Fund.

Please view the attached flyer and print.  Help us spread the word on campus by printing the flyer and hanging up them up on your doors, hallways, classrooms, etc.  We hope to see you at the game February 9, 2008 @ 2pm.  Help the SPSU Lady Hornets increase breast cancer awareness and fight this vicious disease!
