Basketball - Women
The Southern Polytechnic State Universiy women's basketball will host the annual WBCA Pink Zone, formerly known as "Think Pink," for Breast Cancer Awareness event on Feb. 14 when they play Reinhardt College at 2 p.m. The WBCA began the WBCA Pink Zone™ in 2007 as an initiative to raise breast cancer awareness in women's basketball, on campuses and in communities. Schools have chosen to participate in a variety of different ways. Some ideas for involvement include ordering pink uniforms, inviting breast cancer survivors to the game, wearing pink shooting shirts, head bands, socks/shoe strings, etc. Please view this pink zone link to see how you can celebrate this day with the Lady Hornets.
