Basketball - Women Lady Hornets Get 87-51 Victory Over Columbia College 11/19/09 The Lady Hornets won their first conference game against Columbia College by the score of 87-51. The Hornets shot over 54% from three point range and had three players reach double figure scoring. Marisa Stotler, Crystal Davis, and Sasha Simmons had 22, 18, and 18 points, respectively. Davis finished the game one rebound short of a double-double while MyKenya Johnson finished with 7 rebounds. The Lady Hornets shot a season-best 82% from the foul line. This win puts the Lady Hornets at 5-0 overall, and 1-0 in conference play. Southern Polytechnic will face Southern Wesleyan University Saturday in Central, SC at 2:00pm. |
