Midnight Madness

The Runnin' Hornets kicked off the 2008-2009 season with over 200 people attending SPSU Midnight Madness event on Sunday. Coach Jones said "the event was a great success." There was an upbeat atmosphere for the Runnin' Hornets basketball teams as they took to the court and participated in various contests.

Brenden Slotter amazed the crowd with his shooting in the three point competition. He was edged out in the head to head competition against SPSU women's player Ray Donee' Jones. The dunk contest featured the high flyers Jarrod Clark, Travis Smith, Brent Jennings, and Anthony Snell. Brent Jennings wowed the crowd and took the dunk contest crown !

The coaching staff was pleased with the turnout at the event and is looking forward to the support from the students for the upcoming season.
