Central Receiving assists SETS Program

Smiling Faces Around Campus

Since the year 2000, Cobb County School District has been given the opportunity to utilize the SPSU campus as a vocational training environment. Central Receiving has been a host site for most of these years. The Supported Employment Transition Services (SETS) program has trained numerous high school seniors thanks to the Facilities Division’s involvement and supportive staff and administration.

Each year the program trains a new class of seniors referred by their teachers based on their past achievement. The program’s goal is to prepare students who want to work and pursue employment upon exiting school.

The students work in other training sites around campus, but Central Receiving has afforded higher visibility among the SPSU staff and students and we are very grateful for the positive support that they have given the program and trainees.

Look for us around campus!
