Resume Format

 

In accordance with policies and procedures for reappointment, annual review, pre-tenure review, promotion, tenure, and post-tenure review, the history of faculty activities should be submitted in the following resume format:

 

RESUME

List activities in reverse chronological order; do not include future activities.

I. Biographical Information

            A.         Name

            B.         Department

            C.        Present title

            D.        Date of initial appointment

            E.         Dates of any promotions at Southern Polytechnic

            F.         Tenure status

            G.        Discontinuities in employment at Southern Polytechnic (dates and reasons)

            H.        Citizenship

            I.          Academic degrees (degree, major, institution, date)

            J.         Prior employment (title, company, location, dates)

            K.        Professional registration

II. Teaching

            A.         New courses developed (include dates)

            B.         Laboratory manuals, instructional materials (include dates)

           C.         Other

III. Service

            A.         Service to the Department (include dates)

            B.         Service to the School (include dates)

C.        Service to Southern Polytechnic (include dates)

Faculty members may be asked to complete an updated resume at the request of the Department Chair outside of the normal time tables for annual review, pre-tenure and post-tenure reviews, promotion and tenure, and reappointment.
