Student Work Hours

Background There are various categories of student workers at the university.  What they all have in common is the fact that employment hours should be limited, allowing the student adequate time to complete his or her studies.

Student Work
Hours
The normal student work schedule is 20 hours or less per week. The maximum number of work hours in any one given week should be 36 hours. Student workers include the following categories:
  • Student assistants
  • University work-study students
  • Graduate assistants
