Journey Orientation
A road map to your future...
Welcome!
As an incoming SPSU student, you are about to experience the excitement and anxiety, freedom and discipline, fun and rigors of being a student of Southern Polytechnic State University. As a first step to your student experience, you will be able to attend Journey Orientation.
At Journey Orientation, you can prepare yourself to take full advantage of SPSU. You’ll have the opportunity to meet with your academic advisor and receive information about your major, learn about student clubs and organizations, take a Math Assessment Test, get your Student ID card and even buy your textbooks. It will also give you a chance to meet fellow students and student leaders.
Yes, there are presentations and test, but there’s also entertainment and some time to get to know classmates and future friends. Students here have connected with people on their first day and have remained friends throughout college and beyond. The Journey Orientation is necessary for your classes and beneficial for your campus life, but it can also be fun for those that want to experience all they can.
- Meet your academic advisor
- Learn about campus activities
- Take the Math Assessment Test
- Meet other new students
- Learn more about the campus
