Software and Hardware Purchasing (discounts, purchasing advice, etc.)

SPSU Site License and Academic Program Software

SPSU does have software licenses for academic software used in some academic programs. Contact your academic department or the IT Helpdesk to get more information regarding software licenses.

Personal Use software discounts through SRS

The SPSU community, faculty staff and students, is now able to purchase many software titles through the University System of Georgia's Software Resource & Services unit.  This unit makes the software available for personal use at significantly discounted prices.

To take advantage of this opportunity visit: http://www.srs.usg.edu/ .  To log in, use your SPSU user name and password.

Disability Services

The Disability Services Coordinator in the ATTIC is ready and willing to assist students with any needs that they may have. Contact the Disability Services Coordinator by phone at: 678-915-7244. For more information about Disability Services visit the ATTIC website.

Advising

As a student, you're assigned a faculty advisor within your academic department. There is an Academic Advisor within your school who will help you with general issues.

Many degrees/certificates have a Program Coordinator or Program Director. All faculty have advising responsibilities. Contact your department to get the name and contact information for your faculty and academic advisors. Your advisors are here to help you plan your courses, give you career advice, and help you succeed at SPSU.

Many departments will place a "hold" on your record that will prevent you from registering for classes. Your advisors will remove the hold once you've communicated about your course selection and degree plan. Your advisors may, after you've discussed your plans, give you an "alternate PIN". This PIN is what you enter into Banner Web to gain access to register.

Start now and plan to contact your advisors well before registration for each new semester. Pre-planning with accurate information is critical to a successful degree plan and on-time graduation.

Undergraduate students who have not declared a major should contact the ATTIC at 678-915-7361 to get assistance with general academic advising.

Visit the SPSU Advising website for more information about advising.

Payment of Fees and Tuition

The Fiscal Affairs department is the point of contact for payment of student accounts and disbursement of refunds. Student account questions can be directed to the Cashier's Office via phone at 678-915-7216. Additional details regarding student accounts can be found on the student accounts page of the Fiscal Affairs department web page.
