Soccer team captain Gabe Warner has great season

Gabe Warner, SPSU soccer playerDEC. 19, 2013 – Gabe Warner, a senior biology major who is the captain of and a defender for the SPSU men’s soccer team, finished the 2013 season in style. Warner was named a 2013 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete for the second year in a row. A few weeks before that, he was chosen to represent SPSU on this year’s Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) Musco Lighting Champions of Character Team and was again named to the SSAC All-Academic Team.

To be eligible for NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must be at least a junior in academic status. Warner has a 3.66 GPA.
