APRIL 22, 2013 – An open house for the Marietta University Enhancement District Livable Centers Initiative (MU2 LCI) originally scheduled for March 21 has been moved to May 7. The event will be held in the cafeteria of the Marietta Center for Advanced Academics from 4:30-6:30 p.m.
The event is open to all residents and property owners, as well as students, faculty, staff and alumni of Life University and SPSU. This is the third of four open houses that will be held to receive feedback from the community about the MU2 LCI. Representatives from the initiative, the city of Marietta, SPSU and Life University will be on hand to discuss recommendations for transportation and connectivity improvements, land use changes, a multi-use trail and a new university center.
The study was designed to create a redevelopment plan for the Green Tech Corridor in Marietta as well as increase SPSU and Life University’s visibility and connection to the community.
