Joshua Levine, Executive Vice President and Chief Global Technology Officer of E*TRADE, will speak at Southern Polytechnic's spring semester graduation May 12 at 2 p.m. in the university's gymnasium.

Named one of the "Top 25 CIOs of our Time" by InfoWorld Media Group last year, Levine was also honored in CIO Magazine's Top 100 CIO list.

Levine's speech, "Top of the Second Inning," will look at the explosive digital age and how the revolution is now entering its real stretch. "Why the second inning? Because the Internet and the digitized business processes it has brought with it are now here. There have been some hits, some runs, some errors and some outs. Top of the second seems about right," said Levine.

Levine, who will receive an honorary degree from Southern Polytechnic, will also discuss the unlimited opportunities available for today's "digital class."

E*TRADE's ranking corporate officer in the Southeast since March 2000, Levine joined E*Trade in 1999. He previously served as managing director and global head of equities technology for Deutsche Bank.
