Jennifer Judd, a recent graduate of Southern Polytechnic State University, has been named the Engineering Technology Student of the Year by the Metro Atlanta Engineering Week Awards Committee. Judd was recognized at an Engineering Week luncheon on the Southern Polytechnic campus and at the Metro Atlanta Engineering Week dinner February 26^th.

Judd, a Decatur native, maintained a 4.0 grade-point average in civil engineering technology. She served as co-captain of SPSU's Steel Bridge Team and the Concrete Canoe Team. She is also a member of the Georgia Society of Professional Engineers, the National Society of Professional Engineers and the Institute of Transportation Engineers.

"This is a big honor. Without the faculty at SPSU I would not have received this award. It was a wonderful experience working with them, helping me to achieve my goals," said Judd.

Judd currently works at Starzer-Brady-Fagan Associates, a consulting/structural engineering firm.
