Earthlink chairman Charles M. Brewer will speak at Southern Polytechnic State University's spring semester commencement on May 13, 2000 at 2 p.m.

Brewer was currently the founder, chairman and CEO of Mindspring Enterprises, before Earthlink and Mindspring merged. A graduate of Amherst College, with a degree in economics, Brewer resides in Atlanta. He will speak on "Authenticity" at the SPSU commencement. Brewer will be awarded an honorary degree by Southern Polytechnic as well.

Southern Polytechnic State University is a residential university with approximately 4,000 students pursuing bachelor's and master's degrees in many of the nation's fastest-growing fields related to engineering and technology. One mile west of I-75's Exit 263, the university is just 20 minutes northwest of downtown Atlanta, GA.
