Southern Polytechnic State University's Foundation has named three new directors to its 2001-2002 board. The directors are Heath Garrett, Gloria Lane and Suzanne Sitherwood.
"These three new directors all bring diverse backgrounds and years of experience to the Foundation," said Lynn L. Murray, director of development and scholarships at SPSU. "I am confident they will make positive contributions."
Heath Garrett is the chief of staff for Johnny Isakson, R-east Cobb. He graduated from the University of Georgia Law School and worked at Troutman and Sanders before joining Isakson's staff. Gloria Lane, editor and publisher of "Season" magazine, was Atlanta's first female television anchor, on WSB-TV. Suzanne Sitherwood is the vice president of engineering and construction for Atlanta Gas Light, and an alumnae from the SPSU class of 1983.
The SPSU Foundation raises money for special academic and enrichment programs and projects that cannot be funded through state allocations.
