Southern Polytechnic's Janis invited to prestigious conference

Southern Polytechnic State University's Charlotte Janis has been chosen to participate in the prestigious Baden-Wurttemberg Seminar, sponsored by the NAFSA: Association of International Educators and the German Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts, September 25 - October 3. The event will be held in Tubingen, Germany.

NAFSA: Association of International Educators promotes the exchange of students and scholars to and from the United States and encourages constructive leadership in a global community.

Janis, coordinator of international student services at SPSU, was one of 12 professionals across the United States chosen to attend the seminar. During the event, she and other participants will study education in Germany by visiting secondary schools and universities. The Baden-Wurttemberg Seminar will also focus on German-American relations and German-American academic cooperation.

"I am very excited to be one of only a handful of professionals invited to participate. It will be a wonderful opportunity to learn more about education in Germany and German-American relations," said Janis.
