Internationally-renowned columnist and Pulitzer-Prize winner George Will will kick off Southern Polytechnic State University's Robert D. Spratlin Lecture Series September 28, 2000, at 7:30 p.m. He will discuss "Public Affairs, Public Policy and American Society."
Will's column has been syndicated by the Washington Post since 1974, and he is now syndicated in 500 national and international newspapers. In 1976, he began contributing to Newsweek, and now writes the magazine's back-page essay twice a month. In 1977, he won the Pulitzer Prize for his newspaper columns.
The author of eleven books and six collections, he is also a television news and political analyst, and consultant to the Baltimore Orioles, San Diego Padres and the Little League Foundation, among others.
