SPSU's Kenneth Rainey to be profiled in Who's Who of America

Southern Polytechnic State University professor Kenneth T. Rainey, of Marietta, has been selected to be included in a biographical directory published by Marquis' Who’s Who®, the leading biographical reference publisher of higher achievers and contributors from across the country and around the world.

Rainey is a professor of Humanities and Technical Communication at Southern Polytechnic State University. His profile will appear in the 2000 edition of Who’s Who in America®, which will be available in October 2000.

"This is very gratifying to be selected," said Rainey. "Who’s Who in America® is a publication I've heard about my entire life."

Rainey received the prestigious J.R. Gould Award for outstanding teaching in technical communication in 1999. That award was presented by the Society for Technical Communications. He was also named a fellow of the Society for Technical Communication in 1998 and was honored as the 1997-1998 Regents Distinguished Professor of Teaching and Learning.

Since 1899, when A.N. Marquis printed the First Edition of Who’s Who in America®, the publication has chronicled the lives of the most accomplished individuals and innovators from every significant field of. Today, it remains an important biographical source.
