Southern Polytechnic State University has named Patrick McCord as its new Vice President for Business and Finance.

McCord brings almost 30 years of experience in higher education to the SPSU campus. He previously served as the Vice President for Finance and Administration at Floyd College. Before that he acted as the Vice President for Business Affairs at Gordon College. He received a Bachelor of Arts from State University of West Georgia (formerly West Georgia College) and a Master of Science in Administration from Georgia College.

"I am delighted to have Patrick on our campus," said Southern Polytechnic State University President Dr. Lisa Rossbacher. "His experience and leadership in business affairs will be an excellent addition to this university," she said.

Among McCord's responsibilities will be handling the fiscal management of the university, as well as overseeing campus security, physical plant operations and auxiliary enterprises.

"I am extremely happy to be here, and am impressed by the warmth I've received. I am looking forward to this opportunity," said McCord.
