Abstract

This paper analyzes the relationship between the human capital and economic growth in Zhejiang province in China. The Cobb-Douglas theory is applied to calculate the contribution factor of human capital to the economy growth in Zhejiang province from time series data. The result indicates that human capital with various educated levels and overall human capital both strongly correlated to the economy growth. Based on the analysis of the economic data, Zhejiang province should further strengthen its universal elementary education and higher education to facilitate its further economic growth.
