Abstract

This study examined the extent of using Electronic Blackboard (EBb) by undergraduate educational technology students at Ajman University of Science and Technology Network (AUSTN). The study investigated the relationship between attitudes and achievement. There were significant positive attitudes toward the content and EBb. One-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) showed that there was a significant difference between the extents of Blackboard academic use and overall attitude. The group with the highest attitude was the group that worked from one to five hours a week. There was no significant difference in achievement between the three groups in regard to hours of EBb use. The non-parametric Pearson correlation showed that the only significant correlation was between attitudes towards EBb and course content. Recommendations for research include investigating students’ social interaction, attitudes toward course instructor, and increasing the number of classes studied to compare results
