SME @ SPSU:
Welcome to the cyber home of the SPSU Student chapter of the Greater Atlanta area SME. Please read this page and feel free to contact us if you have any questions or an interest in joining our membership. Memberships can be renewed or started online at www.sme.org.
The main purpose of the club is to introduce SPSU students to the local SME community.
In the Greater Atlanta area we have the Atlanta Chapter, and also Georgia Southern
and the Georgia Tech Student chapters.
Meetings with the Atlanta Chapter are typically held on the third Tuesday of the
month. Local student chapter meetings will be posted on this website and around the
Q Buildings.
Being a member of the club is not a requirement, although it is encouraged. Everyone is encouraged to stop by one of our meetings or "field trips."
Thank you, Simin Nasseri

Chapter Activities:
The SME student chapter arranges the Lockheed Tour every semester. This tour is always a big hit and usually there are 50 attendees to the tour. Every
single one enjoys the tour!
In last visits, many MET students, students from Society of Women Engineers (SWE)
at SPSU, other SPSU students, staff and faculty members and members of the SME Atlanta
senior chapter visited the C-130 J / F-22 production lines.
Lockheed is impressed with the response so they have been interested in doing tours
every semester. Stay tuned for our next tour and check the facebook page.
