Why study Mechanical Engineering Technology at SPSU?

Welcome to the Mechanical Engineering Technology Department at Southern Polytechnic State University!

Thank you for your interest in our Mechanical Engineering Technology program. We are sure that you will find our program both challenging and rewarding. Our program is a great mix of theory and practical application and prepares our graduates well for their first job. Hence, our students are typically very strong in theory as well as practice and are in high demand in the industry. Many students gain excellent experience participating in student competitions like Aerial Robotics Team or the Formula SAE race car.

In today's marketplace, there are very few industries that don't employ mechanical engineers and technologists. At Southern Polytechnic State University, we provide the level of instruction and the cutting-edge facilities that produce experts in the field of Mechanical Engineering Technology. Our graduates consistently award us high marks for the relevance and quality of our academic program. Our graduates are engineers, not technicians!
