1. A 128-pound weight stretches a spring 3.2 feet. The weight is placed in a medium which offers a resistance numerically equal to 8 times the velocity. In addition, an external driving force of f(t) = 4 sin 2t acts on the system. Determine the equation of motion if the spring is released 1 foot above equilibrium with zero initial velocity. Then separately graph the transient solution and the steady-state solution, and use these to graph the solution.
