The Peanut Software Database Project

This site is for sharing materials that were written by teachers to help students use Peanut Software as an aid to learning mathematics.  There may be typos or mistakes in some documents.  None comes with a guarantee!

To get Wingeom, Winplot, or any of the other Peanut programs, visit the Peanut Software site.  The Peanut programs were written by Rick Parris, of Phillips Exeter Academy in New Hampshire.  He maintains the programs and posts updates often.   If you have trouble using something here with an old version of Wingeom, for example, try updating your version.  It may help.

We now have materials, including help files for Wingeom, in French and in Portuguese.

Html Files (Web Pages) This online tutorial requires nothing more than a Web browser for viewing. Instructions for Using Winplot, by Al Lehnen
PDF Files These are especially suitable for printing.  You need the Adobe Acrobat (R) Reader plug-in to open these files.  It is free and unless your equipment is old, you probably already have it. Zip Files

Use your favorite zip utility to unzip these files.  Once the files are unzipped, use WinGeom to open each file.
