SPSU's Authors' Reception is held annually in October, honoring faculty, staff, and student authors who have published works during the previous year. The reception is sponsored by the President's Office, the SPSU Foundation, and the L.V. Johnson Library, who hosts the event in the Library Rotunda.
On display during the reception are articles, books, proceedings, poetry, fiction, biographies, and other resources produced or jointly authored by faculty, staff, and students in the SPSU community. Faculty members In their first year of participation with the reception are welcome to display their body of works. Copies of materials are retained in the university archives.
