Johnson Library held an Outreach activity
outdoors on July 18, 2007. We set up our Lib-Rella (Library Umbrella)
to promote use of the library building and services. In a handy
bag, we gave copies of the library floor-plan, bookmarks with
service hours and the library website. Included were a Georgia
Voter Registration form and how-to information. The Library wanted
to make citizens aware of the need to register to vote at least
six weeks before the February 5, 2008 Presidential Preference
Primary/ Special Election. The Library’s interactions with
staff members, students and parents in tour groups paid off as
we distributed 70% of the packets between the hours of 10am and
