BASIT - Your Degree Program

BASIT Online Orientation

The structure of the BASIT degree follows that of a regular University System of Georgia degree.  It consists of 60 semester hours of core curriculum courses, divided over 6 areas (see below), and an additional 60 semester hours of advanced coursework in IT.  In general, you will take about half the courses at a TCSG institution and the other half at SPSU.  While all students will take the same courses at SPSU, the TCSG courses you can count towards your BASIT depend on your AAS degree.  At the moment, you can transfer into the BASIT degree if you have an AAS in (click on the degree to see what courses we expect you to take at a TCSG institution)
