1. Learning Outcomes

• Explains and interprets physical situations as stated in a word problem
• Identify the physical laws appropriate to the physical situation at hand.
• Predict the behavior of representative physical systems using mathematics as a tool.
• interpret the outcome of a physical system
• Use various types of data collection tools for the experimental investigation of physical laws.
• Represent physical systems in multiple representations:  i.e. mathematically, pictorially, graphically, etc.

 

2. Please briefly summarize the results of the measured student learning outcomes in the courses in this discipline, and then analyze what the results of the assessment process revealed. 

 

• Students are having difficulty in predicting the behavior of a physical systems using calculus. These students were suppose to be completed both calc I and II, but they didn’t remember a simple integral.
• Their ability on data collection in experimental investigation of physical laws and representing them in physical systems in different representations are above average
