Be aware of literary and cultural diversities

  1. Demonstrate an ability to make informed aesthetic judgments about the arts, such as visual, performing, and literary.

100% of syllabi will show literary and cultural diversity;

Professors in all eight sections of the survey classes copied the work of student # 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 on their rolls for the fall of 2007 when possible (a random sample of five students from an average class size of 32). A curriculum subcommittee reviewed and rated these student samples. 

100%, TOTAL of all sections (8 out of 8) show literary and cultural diversity;

Analyze themes and ideas pertinent to the literature and period covered in the course

  1. Demonstrate an ability to analyze and interpret oral and written arguments and materials
  1. Demonstrate an ability to make informed aesthetic judgments about the arts, such as visual, performing, and literary.

70% of sampled work will demonstrate student achievement of program outcomes
