1. Understand the principles of research, design, development, deployment, operation, maintenance and disposition of engineered systems and processes.

   
2. Model and solve complex problems that cross disciplinary boundaries;    
3. Design, analyze, and integrate sustainable systems.    
4. Apply and interpret appropriate software in solving Systems Engineering problems.    
5. Determine and effectively communicate the business and technical needs of stakeholders throughout the entire design process.    
6. Understand the multidisciplinary fundamentals of engineering and be capable of passing the Fundamentals of Engineering examination    
7. Understand the principles of effective decision making, managing and working on a team, and risk management.    
8. Be capable of learning new technologies and continuing engineering education at the graduate and professional levels.
