Course Design

There are many kinds of good teaching and good teachers - just as there are many kinds of learners and learning. The aim of this section is to assist in transitioning the teaching practice of our faculty at SPSU to the online environment. We have put together some resources which we hope you will find valuable in developing your online course materials. The links on the left are resources that include:

	Teaching Principles
	There has been extensive research done to indicate what constitutes best practices in online teaching and course design. Here are the principles along with suggestions on how these can be implemented in your own course.
	Quality Assurance
	Whether you are teaching a fully online course or enhancing your face-to-face class with online learning tools, it is important to evaluate your course and build in a process for improvement. We have provided rubrics and ways to get valuable feedback from your students.
	Resources
