Equipment Checkout
Process and Policies
As a service unit to academic programs at SPSU, the Division of Information Technology provides portable instructional technologies though a "Request/Checkout" system. All requests must be made 48 hours prior to checkout. Requests will be honored based on the following priority:
- Faculty may request equipment up to three months in advance
- Staff may request equipment up to two weeks in advance
- Students may request most of the equipment up to one week in advance (students may not check out video projectors)
Requests for checkout will be honored on a first-come, first-served basis.
Equipment Available
Information Technology provides equipment checkout services for the faculty, staff, and students of Southern Polytechnic State University. The equipment available includes digital cameras, digital camcorders, LCD/DLP data projectors, laptops, wireless microphones, and calculators. Data projectors and laptops may be checked out by students after obtaining a signature from their instructor or student organization advisor. Individuals who check out the equipment are responsible for paying for repair or replacement costs for the equipment.
