Changes in Email Lists
Effective July 14, 2008 the addresses of all SPSU email lists will change.
Currently all lists have addresses in the format listname@spsu.edu. This will change to listname@lists.spsu.edu. For example, instead of sending to spsu_official@spsu.edu you will mail to spsu_official@lists.spsu.edu.
This does not affect any personal aliases you may have set up in your own Outlook or Eudora client.
Further, these lists will only be available from on-campus or through webmail.
The reason for these changes is to reduce the amount of SPAM delivered to campus email address. While eliminating SPAM is an impossible feat, this will close one more method used by those who generate SPAM.
If you inadvertently mail to the old address (listname@spsu.edu) after July 14, 2008 you will receive an email message directing you to the new address.
