Thesis Requirements
Your research and thesis must meet the following requirements, as judged by your thesis advisor and second reader:
- The research leading to your thesis must be of sufficient quality and depth.
- Your thesis must make a professional contribution to the field of technical writing.
- The thesis must conform to the style guidelines prescribed by the current edition of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA style manual).
- The final draft of the thesis be thoroughly copyedited and proofread.
In addition, you must
- Give your thesis advisor a work plan by the second week of the first semester in which you begin your research. In the plan, you must provide the following:
- A schedule for submitting each chapter of the thesis
- A schedule of planned meetings with your advisor
- Give copies of each chapter, as it is completed, to both your thesis advisor and your second reader for their approval.
Rule: You cannot begin working on the next chapter until you receive feedback on the submitted chapter. - Deliver copies of your thesis according to the thesis-delivery procedure.
