Thesis Delivery

Before you begin, you must have approval of your individual thesis chapters from both your thesis advisor and your second reader before you can begin this procedure.

Rule: You must complete this procedure by the fourteenth week of the semester in which you plan to graduate.

Delivery Procedure

To deliver your master's thesis:

  1. Give your thesis advisor five copies of the final version of your thesis.
Rule: The copies must be on acid-free paper.
Note: If you do not want a bound copy of your thesis for yourself, you may give your thesis advisor four copies.
Result: Your thesis advisor and your second reader will evaluate the final copies of your thesis.
  2. Do your thesis advisor and second reader approve the final version of your thesis?
If yes, ask the following people to sign the copies of your thesis (in the order listed):
    • Your thesis advisor
    • The Chair of the ETCMA department
    • The dean of the School of Arts and Sciences
If no, revise your thesis according to their suggestions. Return to step 1.
  3. Ask the head of the Library to call your thesis advisor and tell him or her that you have delivered your thesis.
Result: Your thesis advisor will inform the ETCMA Department that you have satisfied your thesis requirements.
