Internship Requirements

You must work at least 300 hours for the company that is sponsoring your internship, and you must work this number of hours in one or two semesters. In addition, the quality of your work must be satisfactory to both your advisor and your company supervisor.

You must also:

1. Write a midterm progress report during each semester that you are working on the internship
2. Meet with your advisor as agreed to discuss your progress on the internship
3. Keep a log or journal of your internship activities
4. Write a final report when you complete the internship. In the final report, you must:
   
   
   • Describe the work you performed
   • Describe what you feel you learned
   • Describe your successes and failures on the internship
   • Attach samples of the documents you produced
   • Get a signed evaluation of your work from your company supervisor
   • Give a copy of your supervisor's evaluation to your advisor

Course Credit and Grading

If you successfully complete the internship according to these requirements, you will receive 6 semester credit hours and a grade of S.
