Betty Oliver (Ph.D.,
University of Georgia), Professor of Art, teaches a number of undergraduate and graduate courses offered by the ETCMA department (see list below).
In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Dr. Oliver continues to exhibit her watercolor paintings. As a Governor’s Teaching Fellow, Dr. Oliver directed the creation of The Virtual Museum of Tools: The Alan and Louise Sellars Collection, an online display of valuable antique tools housed in the SPSU Library. In addition, Dr. Oliver created and maintains for the university community the Electronic Tool Gallery, a collection of online tutorials and workshops-on-demand for text, graphics, and design. Dr. Oliver also had the honor of being named SPSU's 2007-2008 Teacher of the Year.
