Computer Writing Classroom

Southern Polytechnic has operated a computer writing classroom since 199X.

The computer writing classroom is located in J-214. It contains 25 Gateway PS-166 workstations networked through the Daedalus Integrated Writing Environment (DIWE) and connected to the Internet.

Through DIWE, students and their instructors can

view class assignments,
word process documents,
make bibliographies,
practice generating ideas for essays,
respond to student writing
send each other email, and
communicate online in real time.
