The Learning Resources Center (LRC) provides opportunities for individualized assistance to all Southern Polytechnic students.  Academic assistants help students with English 1101, 1102, ESL, Math 1111, 1113, 2253, 2254, and Physics 1111, 1112, 2211, and 2212.

The LRC also offers Regents’ Test preparation instruction.  The LRC maintains student academic enrichment as its primary mission and students should expect to work to improve their grammar and mechanics.  Students should not expect an editorial or proofreading service.

  • Students in English work through the processes of invention, organization, writing, revising, and editing of essays and research papers.

  • Students in math work with solving equations, trigonometry functions, differentiation and integration.

  • Students in physics work with mechanics, thermodynamics, waves, electromagnetism, optics and modern physics.

The LRC encourages both student “drop-ins” and faculty referrals.
